Deanna L. Murray, LMFT

Pain often signals there’s a problem, which drives us towards change. However, change can feel daunting, scary, unsettling, and foreign. You may wonder what to do, or how to go about change, but one things is for sure: You don’t have to do it alone. We all need others to help us walk through tough times in life. I can walk alongside you through your challenges and help you navigate change.

As a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with 13 years of experience in California and Texas, I’ve worked with a wide variety of issues and have experience in crisis management. My passion is to help young women who find themselves without support and at a crossroads in life has led me to provide counseling for adolescent girls in the criminal justice system and emergency foster care placements. Seeking to help clients process the emotional stressors related to relationship conflict, extra-marital affairs, sexual addiction, weight loss, and grief, I’ve led several weekend intensives through New Life Ministries and have facilitated individual sessions with spouses. Through group therapy sessions, I’ve helped clients gain community and healing. I also enjoy speaking to groups on various topics including blended families, church volunteer training, and self-care.

Outside of work, I am married with two young children and enjoy baking, reading, getting out with friends, chasing my children around, and hanging out with my husband of 11 years.

I desire to provide a safe, nonjudgmental place where you can explore, feel supported, and experience relief and freedom from the burdens you’ve been carrying by yourself for so long. It would be my honor to walk with you on your path to purpose, growth, and healing for your life as we work together to accomplish your therapy goals and equip you with tools that empower you to navigate and manage challenges and opportunities.

The first step towards getting help can be the hardest, so I offer a free initial 20-minute phone consultation to answer any questions you may have about the counseling process.
