Community First! Village Coaching Team

Community First! Village is a 51-acre master planned community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. A development of Mobile Loaves & Fishes, this transformative residential program exists to love and serve our neighbors who have been living on the streets, while also empowering the surrounding community into a lifestyle of service with the homeless.

The Forward Foundation has a Coaching Ministry that serves the Community First! Village.  We provide free coach training to those who feel called to serve the formerly homeless by forming relationships, providing fellowship, and helping them identify goals and take next steps towards whatever they feel called to do.

Please fill out the form below to register your interest, and someone will be in touch to help you take your next steps:

Further information:

Our goal is not to "fix" anyone, and we do not expect fast progress. Instead, we are there to love, serve and support the neighbors (residents) as they grow and develop over time.

We meet in the "Living Room" on Thursdays from 10-12 noon every week.  If that time doesn't work for you, please still express interest in the form below as we hope to offer additional service times as more volunteers join.

The Living Room is an air conditioned space with coffee, a variety of games like a pool table and shuffle board, and there are also computers, a TV room, and several meeting spaces available for our use.  CF!V staff is available for assistance and support if needed.

When you first come, you'll start by forming relationships over games and coffee, and then progress into coaching sessions with some of the neighbors once some comfort and trust has been established.

Before coming down, you'll take some basic life coach training that explains key concepts of motivation, change, trust and rapport building, and goal setting.  Additional training is available should you desire it.

While there are many events, services and opportunities for connection on the CF!V campus, many of the neighbors don't access them for a variety of reasons.  Many also have goals and dreams but are unsure about how to go about pursuing them.

CF!V sees this Coaching team as a vital part of their plan to scale services as they grow over the next several years. We are an official partner of CF!V , and have full access to other campus partners and services that are eager to collaborate.

This is a volunteer ministry and is a wonderful opportunity to put your faith into action.  If you've ever seen a homeless person on the streets and wanted to help in a meaningful way, this could be for you.
