Ruth Caporello (she/her), MA, LPCA, ASAT Candidate

Supervised by Grady Yarbrough, Jr., LPC-S, PLLC

Hi there! Thank you for taking the challenging step to reach out and learn more about the journey of therapy. Please take a moment to read more about me and reach out if you think we might be a good fit for your current season!

I come from a narrative, trauma-informed framework. This means that I am willing to explore a client's story and experiences with compassion and courage. I incorporate an understanding of how the brain and body are connected, which impacts how we process memories and past/current experiences. Trust and safety are very important in the therapy relationship and I strive to create a safe environment. Your story is unique to you - and while it does not define you, it may provide helpful clues to where you are now in life and in relationships. I will invite you to that same courage as you are ready, which may take time.

I am trained in DBT coping and mindfulness skills, which are useful tools in processing anxiety, transition, recovery, and many other challenges. I am also experienced in Addictions therapy and Betrayal Trauma/infidelity recovery therapy. I value cultural sensitivity and inclusivity, and I serve clients from a variety of faiths, ethnicities, identities, backgrounds, and perspectives.

There is no "one size fits all" model for a person's healing, recovery, & freedom and we will explore your goals with my recommendations. As we grow together, we will regularly check in on the process. I remain curious about my clients, offering a safe space to process, reflect, and understand, as they make their brave steps towards wholeness.

*I offer remote and in-person sessions and am currently accepting new clients.*
